origins of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, which is the
first higher education institution in Manisa, goes back to Ege University
Faculty of Economics and Commercial Sciences-Manisa Vocational School of
Accounting founded in 1975 by Prof. Dr. Nezihe Sönmez. The first lectures of
the school were taught at the building of an Elementary School situated in the Karaköy
the 1977-78 academic year, the name of the school was changed as the School of
Finance and Accounting, and at this newly established school, undergraduate
classes began to be taught. By 1978-79 academic year, the school moved to its
own buildings in the Uncubozköy district.
Law No. 3389 enacted in 1987, the school was connected to İzmir Dokuz Eylül
University with a second and final amendment to its name as Manisa Faculty of
Economics and Administrative Sciences. Prof. Dr. Tuna TANER served as the
founder dean of the faculty.
is the first founder faculty restructured under the auspices of the Celal Bayar
University established by Law No. 3837 in 1992, July 11th.
and second-degree programs in the disciplines of Finance, Business
Administration, Economics, Public Administration, Labor Economics and Industrial
Relations, and International Relations and Political Science are currently
available at CBU FEAS.
the 2001-2002 academic year, English prep classes have been in practice.
faculty has a rich library based especially in Economics.
faculty also has an international refereed journal “Journal of Management and
Economics” ( ISSN - 1302-0064 ) published biannually.
